H-1B Visa: White House Clears Rule to Replace Lottery With Wage System

The White House's Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs has approved a proposed rule that could change how H-1B visas are allocated to specialty occupation workers, according to Bloomberg Law.
This signals the new rule may be announced publicly soon.
Although the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) hasn't yet shared the details, the rule is expected to revive a Trump-era plan that would prioritize H-1B visa applicants based on wages rather than the current random lottery system.
