For policymakers, the dashboard offers asharper tool than generic calls for “more women atwork.
‘The numbers could be from another era, but they describe today’s formal economy. New data from the Udaiti Foundation's “Close the Gender Gap” dashboard for 2024-25 show that over 529% of National Stock Exchange (NSE)-listed companies employ fewer than 10% women. Across 1,386 firms covering 13.4 million workers, women’s share in the workforce is stuck at about 18%—with only 2% of companies reporting a majority-women workforce.
