Charity rainbow runners enjoy wonderful sunshine
The Cornishman
|July 03, 2025
HUNDREDS of people dressed in bright colours took to RAF St Mawgan's training ground to raise more than £100,000 for the Children's Hospice South West.
The charity's Rainbow Run, sponsored by Kernow Coatings, returned to the Newquay air station for the 11th year on Saturday, June 21.
The money raised will help fund care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions through CHSW's Little Harbour hospice in St Austell.
After a morning of entertainment in the event village 1,500 participants of all ages ran, jogged and walked the 5km route through eight coloured paint 'stations' around the RAF training ground and got covered in powder paint of all the colours of the rainbow.
