SHOPKEEPERS in Newlyn say they believe a number of stores have fallen victim to the same burglar in recent weeks and they hope a man captured on camera can help police with their inquiries.

- by CARL EVE

James MacLean of the Cornish Delicatessen in New Road, Newlyn, said his store was targeted at about 3am on Sunday - with the suspect remaining in the shop until about 5am.

He said: “It seems whoever did it took their pick of their favourite stuff. They went for the cash from the till as well as bacon, expensive gins, charcuterie - probably the most middle class thief I've ever come across.”
