Askey and Harvey take top NLS honours

TRURO City's remarkable National South title winning campaign was acknowledged at the National league's end of season awards night with manager John Askey being crowned manager of the year and striker Tyler Harvey winning both the golden boot and national South player of the year.
Askey only arrived in the Duchy a year ago, but despite Truro being the pre-season favourites for relegation, they defied the odds to win the title and gain promotion to the National League for the first time in their history.
Harvey's 27 league goals for the Tinners were a major factor behind the club's incredible success, so it was no great surprise that the 29-year-old former Plymouth Argyle striker scooped the league's most prestigious award.
