The legend of Shaka Zulu is reborn as Shaka iLembe storms back onto our screens for a second season.

It premiered exclusively on Mzansi Magic with a first season that gripped audiences and the saga continues—this time with even more intensity, ambition, and historical depth.

From the moment it debuted, Shaka iLembe was more than just a TV show, but a cultural event.

The series, which swept the SA Film and Television Awards (Saftas) with 12 wins, reignited national pride and sparked conversations across many spheres.

With its rich storytelling, breathtaking cinematography and powerhouse performances, it cemented itself as a landmark in local entertainment.

Now, the journey continues as we follow Shaka, portrayed by Lemogang Tsipa, stepping into his role as the leader of the Zulu nation.

Alongside him, Thembinkosi Mthembu (of The Adulting Queen fame) returns as the fierce and determined Dingiswayo, a role that won him the Safta Best Actor award.
