The older generation holds a wealth of valuable information that they have gathered during the course of their lives, but with the fast pace of life and the need to be bigger and better than the next person, we have forgotten about their value and role in our society.

In many cultures elders have always been held in high regard and retirement homes didn’t exist. Elders were a part of the family unit and lived with their relatives. When they couldn't care for themselves anymore their children and family were proud and privileged to assist and protect them until the time came that they passed on.
