NEWCASTLE United is in line to potentially host England's round of 16 clash at EURO 2028 as the full match list for the tournament was revealed.

- By SEAN MCCORMICK

England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland have been chosen as the host nations of the 2028 tournament, with St James' Park chosen among the nine host stadiums for the competition.

All four host nations will have to qualify for the European Championships through the normal qualifying route, although UEFA have reserved two spots for the best-ranked host nations that do not qualify as either group winners or best runners-up.

Should England qualify for the tournament, as expected, then the Chronicle understands they will be allocated a spot in Group B as team 'B1' on the match list. That means they will begin their EURO 2028 campaign at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium before having a further two games at Wembley Stadium.
