FORMER FIRE STATION OPENS ITS DOORS AS LUXURY ESCAPE
THE wow factor arrived in Newcastle in abundance at the weekend, with the opening of Hotel Gotham in the heart of town.
What looks like being Tyneside’s most in-demand place to stay has seen the old Fire Station on Pilgrim Street transformed.
In 2023 The Chronicle first reported on plans to turn the iconic Newcastle city centre building into a luxury hotel being given the green light.
And over the past couple of years, a huge amount of work has been going on behind the scenes to turn the Fire Station into a decadent escape.
