Indian medical grads can practice in US, Oz, Canada

Indian medical graduates have achieved a significant milestone as the National Medical Commission (NMC) secured recognition status from the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) for a duration of 10 years

The announcement, made by the Union Health Ministry through a press release, paves the way for Indian medical professionals to practice medicine and pursue postgraduation in foreign countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, where WFME recognition is a prerequisite.

Global Recognition and Opportunities for Indian Medical Graduates The recognition of all 706 existing medical colleges in India by WFME is a noteworthy achievement. Moreover, any new medical colleges established in the next decade will automatically gain WFME accreditation status.
