July 10, 2025

In response to the nationwide Bharat Bandh call over 17 key demands, including rollback of new labour laws, multiple labour unions staged a protest rally in Gamharia. The bandh received significant support, with many private offices closed and industrial activity coming to a halt.

Led by leaders from RJD, INTUC and other labour outfits, protesters marched from Lal Building Chowk to the Block Office despite heavy rain. They chanted slogans against the Centre and urged citizens to support the workers’ cause.
