Jharkhand at Davos
The Avenue Mail
|January 18, 2026
For the first time since its formation a quarter-century ago, Jharkhand has taken its place on the global stage, marking a historic debut at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos.
Led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the state's participation underscores a clear intent to engage the world with confidence, purpose and a forward-looking development vision.
Ahead of the five-day global conclave, the Jharkhand government delegation on Saturday conducted an inspection of the state's dedicated pavilion, located within the India Pavilion complex at Davos.
Designed as a focal point for dialogue and collaboration, the pavilion will host interactions with global business leaders, policymakers, investors and international institutions from January 19 to 23.
