Government making progress on its mission to fix Britain after Tory chaos

- Jonathan Ashworth

Labour on right path

Readers want to see this Labour government get on with fixing the economy and turning our public services like the NHS around.

Working people need a wage they can live on that can support a home. Our loved ones deserve treatment in the NHS quickly.

Young people should be given a chance to get on the property ladder. And at a time when the world is more unstable and security more at risk, we all want to see the government investing in the defence of the realm.

This coming Wednesday Chancellor Rachel Reeves will update the nation on how the government is meeting these priorities.

No one is pretending decisions taken so far haven't been tough.

It will take more than seven months to clear up 14 years of Tory mess.
