Cops shelve case of man killed in plunge at Pete Doherty party
THE mum of a man who died after a row with Pete Doherty has slammed a police decision to shelve the case as "insulting".
Mark Blanco, 30, plunged 11ft from the balcony of an East London flat where the Libertines star was partying in 2006.
Despite claims in a 2023 documentary of new evidence that he was murdered, nobody has been charged.
The Channel 4 show included CCTV footage of Doherty stepping over Mark and fleeing the flat.
Met Police last month wrote to the aspiring actor's mum, Sheila, saying her son's death "will not be actively investigated further" and they had "not identified any new lines of enquiry".
