Andrew may be forced into giving evidence. Videos from paedo's parties set to emerge

- BY PATRICK HILL

DISGRACED former prince Andrew was last night urged to give evidence in the USA, as he awaits eviction from Royal Lodge.

The ex-Duke of York is facing mounting pressure to speak to a powerful Congressional committee which was set up to investigate his paedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein.

Two US Congressmen yesterday joined the House Oversight Committee in calling on Andrew to tell them what he knows.

One of them, Democrat Raja Krishnamoorthi, said: “Come clean. Come before the US Congress, voluntarily testify.

“Don't wait for a subpoena. Come and testify and tell us what you know.

“We want to know exactly what happened, not just to give justice to the survivors, but to prevent this from ever happening again.”

Attorney Spencer Kuvin, who represents a number of Epstein's victims, said: “He should come to the US and submit himself to the jurisdiction. The US should request extradition with the congressional committee.

“Royalty should not make him immune to this and he should want to assist the committee as he has said in the past he wants to help victims.”

VIDEOS

In what will be seen as a warning to Andrew, Mr Kuvin added: “We are one step from unsealing the videos that show what happened in Epstein's properties. If Andrew appears in any of those videos he will have no option to appear before the committee.”

Andrew, 65, agreed a reported £12million out-of-court settlement with Virginia Giuffre, who took her own life in April aged 41, in order to stop a civil trial taking place over her claims he abused her.

The payment made no admission of liability and he has always denied any wrongdoing.
