Cyclist has life saved by off-duty police officers

TWO quick-thinking off-duty police officers saved a cyclist's life in Warwickshire.

The male cyclist was almost at the end of a 45-mile ride on Sunday, June 8, when he suffered a cardiac arrest near the village of Hampton Lucy.

Firearm officers PCs Sam Long and Faye Gardner, who were on their way home from the Two Castles Run, between Warwick and Kenilworth castles, saw the cyclist in trouble and rushed to help.

They gave him life-saving CPR until paramedics arrived.
