Security is ramped up due to US strikes on Iran
SNIPERS will be on rooftops to protect movie stars at tonight's Oscars after the FBI exposed an Iranian drone attack plot.
Sharpshooters, armed with .50-calibre rifles, will surround Hollywood's Dolby Theatre, where A-listers will arrive for the ceremony.
The SWAT teams will shoot down drones and be on alert for any sleeper agents activated for the biggest night in the showbiz calendar.
The ramping up of security includes installing concrete barriers in a zigzag pattern to stop vehicles being driven at speed and used as a weapon.
There is a one-mile security cordon around the famous theatre and undercover, counterterrorism and bomb squad units will be stationed through the area.
The Iran war was launched two weeks ago by Israel and the US with surprise attacks on sites and cities.
