‘New look' for popular bar

ALMOST three years after opening its doors, the team behind a popular Stockport bar have issued an update about its future.

A post on social media was shared by Bask on Tuesday, May 27, stating that the bar was making way for a new look and 'new era.' It promised a 'huge change of brand,' but said 'this isn't good bye'.

The bar and music venue, which is situated just opposite Stockport railway station, was opened by music promoter Benji Taylor in June 2022 and billed as a 'speakeasy-style' bar with a regular line-up of DJs, live music and comedy nights.

The Bask founder originally wanted to open the flagship site as a vegan restaurant, but had to change direction when issues arose with the fitting on an extraction fan at the large venue.

Bask also boasts an extensive drinks selection, from several draft lines and their own Bask export lager, to a range of cocktails.

Benji announced last summer that he would be stepping away from the business and handing over the reins to the rest of the team.
