UNCERTAINTY surrounds the future of a historic Stockport building.
The Grade-II listed Woodbank Hall
The Grade-II listed Woodbank Hall, in Woodbank Park outside the town centre, is on Historic England's heritage at-risk register.
The building dates back hundreds of years to 1814, and last November Stockport council promised there would be 'concrete proposals' on the table in early 2025 over the long-term plans for the site.
One of the town’s historic landmarks, Historic England judged the building to be in a 'very bad' condition, with 'immediate risk of further rapid deterioration or loss of fabric; no solution agreed.'
