I AM proud to represent and support people, businesses and organisations whose ambitions for Stockport continue to make it one of the best places to live in the country.

Investment into all areas of Stockport is one of my priorities and I therefore welcome the Government's efforts to drive economic growth through its National Wealth Fund.

I recently asked the Chancellor about how this fund will bring benefits specific to Stockport businesses.

I believe a reliable and affordable public transport network will bring more people into Stockport, supporting its growth and local businesses.

The Bee Network and town centre Interchange has already improved bus services, and I continually seek to improve rail services across Stockport.

I have recently raised reinstating regular rail services to Reddish South station, and a direct rail service between Stockport and Manchester Airport, with the Transport Minister.
