Fire service urge everyone to take care
Warnings have been issued over an extreme wildfire risk across Scotland this weekend, including a particularly busy Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
The extreme wildfire warning is in place across the country from today (Friday) until Monday, July 14.
And the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is urging everyone to take extra care - and not to make matters worse.
Advice issued this week by SFRS said: "We want you to enjoy Scotland's great outdoors in the sunshine, but we have a few tips to help keep everyone safe.
"Avoid BBQs and campfires; never discard cigarettes or litter; stick to marked paths and avoid dry vegetation; and call 999 if you spot signs of fire.
"Fires can ignite quickly and spread fast during this period, so we urge you to use caution and avoid using any items involving a naked flame to help reduce the risk of wildfires."
