Plean House renovation hits a high note

A fundraising concert for a charity aiming to revamp Plean House and Stables is hoping to hit the right notes.

Four professional musicians have given up their time for the evening, which will see The Doune Bassoon Quartetconsisting of Peter Wesley, Heather Brown, Kath Nagl, and Graeme Brownperforming at the Doune Rural Hall on April 19.

The community-led project to restore the once-scenic and now derelict property took a major step forward in January when the charity was formally incorporated.

Discussions have already opened up with Stirling Council, who own the land within Plean Country Park.
