So as you read this lam somewhere on The West Highland Way-hopefully it's dry!

The other week we went back to Dumyat, the Fort of the Maeatae who defied Rome and suffered Scotland's only recorded genocide in the early third century AD.

We were of course digging, teasing out clues and avoiding ticks.

The views were gorgeous and the weather mostly dry.

We think we've found a grave, a precious rare upstanding burial mound....have we found a Maeatae?
