Dispensing healthy snacks for Callander ducks

Ducks in Callander could be treated to a healthier diet if Callander Community Council gets its way.

The community council is seeking to install a duck feeder dispenser on land next to the graveyard in Bridge Street.
The dispenser would be supplied by the Feed Ducks Initiative, which has already partnered with more than 45 councils across the UK, Republic of Ireland and the Netherlands to bring solar powered contactless duck feed dispensers to communities.
The machines dispense smaller quantities of healthy nutritious seed suitable for the diet of wildfowl.
Callander Community Council has lodged an application with Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park planners.
