Calls to stay safe at popular water spots

With the temperatures set to rocket across Stirling over this weekend, a fresh call has been made for people to stay safe around popular water spots.

Scottish Water has made the warning for people to stay safe, behave responsibly and not take risks around reservoirs, rivers, lochs and beaches during the warm weather surge.
It follows figures recently published from the National Water Safety Forum (NWSF), which revealed there were a total of 33 accidental drownings in Scotland and 193 across the UK in 2024.
The warning will prove particularly persuasive in Stirling after a number of tragic incidents in waterways across the region.
