MP raises concerns of Reform 'flood approach'
Staffordshire Newsletter
|June 11, 2025
LEIGH Ingham, MP for Stafford, has raised concerns about Reform UK’s approach to flood risk management after Lincolnshire County Council - now run by Reform UK - voted to abolish key protections for communities at risk of flooding.
-
It follows Staffordshire’s Reform UK-led County Council abolishing the Cabinet Role for Environment - the Councillor responsible for Flood Defences and Environmental Protection.

It follows their decision to scrap the dedicated Flood and Water Management Scrutiny Committee, which had previously provided oversight and planning around flood defences across the county.
