STREETS will still be cleaned, housing officers available to help the homeless, and household bins emptied, throughout Christmas and new year in the Stafford Borough.

A limited number of staff will continue working at Stafford Borough Council over the festive period and will be on call to help vulnerable residents. However, the council offices at the Civic Centre, Riverside, in Stafford will shut at 3pm on Wednesday, December 24 and reopen on Friday, January 2 at 8.30am. Work carried out over the festive period means the streets in Stafford town centre and Stone High Street will be cleaned on Christmas Day, following late night celebrations and in anticipation of the tr
