WALES and Lions fullback Liam Williams is still unable to find a club for the new season as he trains alone.

- JON DOEL

Williams has been told by former club Cardiff they have no place for him after spending the summer with the squad.

Williams, 34, hasn’t played since suffering a knee injury playing for Wales against France in the Six Nations. He had signed a short-term deal with Saracens after returning from Japan early following the birth of his first child.

Now, he has revealed the mental challenges he is facing after being left unemployed for the first time in his distinguished career.

He told the BBC: “I've still got quite a bit left and I'd like to get back on the horse for another year or two so I can end my career on a high.
