JULIA Schell scored six tries as Canada earned an emphatic 65-7 win over Fiji in their opening Pool B Women’s Rugby World Cup match in York.

The 29-year-old crossed the whitewash six times in the space of 23 minutes as Fiji were blown away in the second half.
Schell became the second woman in World Cup history to score six tries in a single match, after American Krista McFarren in 1994.
Sophie de Goede, Gillian Boag, Caroline Crossley, Alysha Corrigan and Karen Paquin also got in on the act for Canada.
FRANCE scored three tries to beat Italy 24-0 in Exeter.
