BONYMAEN have closed the gap at the top of the Swansea Fish Bowling League.

With league leaders Victoria Saints not playing, it was chance for their rivals to close the gap at the top of the first division - and Bony took full advantage of the opportunity.

Second-placed Bonymaen headed to lowly Dyfatty, a club in urgent need of points. But it was the visitors who came away with victory.

The top rink for the visitors was Paul Williams, Dai Fisher, Craig Amos and skip Dan Amos, who defeated the rink skipped by Luke Marks 36-13.

Rhidian Clement finished 21-15 up against Russell Smith, and the Dyfatty rink skipped by Robin Thomas enjoyed a good 27-11 win over Chris Jones.

Jersey were at home to Swansea BC, who were buoyant after their excellent win against Dunvant

Druids. And on a fast surface it was the visitors who came out on top 61-45 to take the points 10-2.

The Rhodri Johnson-Mike Hartnoll game was all-square going into the last end, but it was the Hartnoll four who picked up two shots to take the rink win.

The two bottom clubs, Waunarlwydd and Coedgwilym, faced each other with both desperate for points to move away from the relegation zone.
