I thought it was a good cup final.

They have to be intentional

On the Nedbank Cup final

I don't think a lot of people were aware of how well Kaizer Chiefs played in the league Soweto Derby, as they just focused on the result.

They were not completely out of that game, which is why they took an early lead. It was closer than a lot of people thought and Chiefs, based on that performance, stood a chance to cause an upset against Orlando Pirates in the final. What was key in that final was Mduduzi Shabalala's substitution because he was a difference-maker. After he came on, Chiefs started creating more scoring opportunities. They deserved that victory as it was a long time coming.

It is something Chiefs can take from what has been a bad season so far for Amakhosi. There's something to celebrate for them, but the sad thing is the fact that coach Jose Riveiro couldn't leave Pirates having won the Nedbank Cup trophy for the third consecutive time.

On Riveiro's departure

He played his last game as Pirates coach against Golden Arrows, which means he left sooner than we had expected at the end of the season.

History tells us we can beat Mexico

Bafana Bafana are in an exciting group and I think we have a good chance of going through to the next round, bearing in mind that we no longer have the so-called small countries in world football.

I'm not happy about it

Marumo Gallants may have fallen just short in the Carling Knockout Final, but their spirited run to the showpiece at a sold-out Peter Mokaba Stadium reminded many of the club's fighting identity.

Let's become role models

We live in an era where positive role models can be scarce, which means the next generation feels lost as there are no examples they can relate to in their immediate communities.

Let me start by giving credit where credit is absolutely due - coach Abdeslam Ouaddou at Orlando Pirates deserves all the flowers.
