Boy, 12, is killed by flat blaze

A BOY aged 12 has died in a fire which destroyed a maisonette flat.

Up to 70 firefighters and 10 engines tackled the blaze in Lewisham, South East London.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. He had not been identified last night.
