A tornado warning and torrential downpour couldn't keep the community away from the Empowered Uth: Cultiv8 Hope Closing Ceremony & Award Celebration—a powerful Juneteenth event by I Choose To Win that honored the vision, voice, and victories of Philadelphia-area BIPOC youth.

Held at Our House Culture Center in Germantown on June 19, 2025, the event reached full capacity as families, educators, artists, and community leaders came together to celebrate youth-led solutions for a hopeful future.
The closing ceremony marked the culmination of the Cultiv8 Hope initiative, a storytelling project that engaged youth ages 13-18 in exploring what HOPE means to them and how adults can better support their dreams. Through visual art, poetry, spoken word, music, and multimedia, these young changemakers activated their voices and put forward real, community-rooted calls to action.
The evening, hosted by media personality and social impact storyteller Sincerely Syreeta, included live performances, including an original anthem titled "I Got Hope" by Cultiv8 Hope Artist in Residence Xavis “Gweebz” Fauntleroy, whose song moved the entire room to reflection and applause.
