'It means a great deal' - Rowans Hospice voted 2026 charity of year
Portsmouth News
|December 18, 2025
A group of businesses have voted for Rowans Hospice to be their charity of the year for 2026.
Lakeside North Harbour, Portsmouth's leading business campus, has made the announcement after asking occupiers to cast their votes for their preferred choice of charity of the year.
Rowans Hospice came out as the winner with 25.5 per cent of the votes.
Each year, the Purbrook hospice supports more than 10,000 people and as an independent charity, it raises 78 per cent of its annual running costs.
Its new partnership with Lakeside will help raise awareness of the support available to people across the local community alongside fundraising efforts.
In 2025, Lakeside had supported Portsmouth Hospitals Charity; and now in 2026, the new partnership will see Rowans Hospice host regular sessions at Lakeside whilst also inviting occupiers to attend its wider events across the region.
