TGI Fridays on the way out of Cornerhouse?

NOTTINGHAM'S TGI Fridays restaurant looks set to close after its unit in the Cornerhouse was put on the market - in another blow for the multi-storey entertainment complex.

In October last year, the Burton Street restaurant was one of 51 saved from closure after the American-themed chain’s parent company filed for administration.

The restaurant opened at the Cornerhouse in December 2000 and, in recent years, has been plagued with uncertainty over its future due to the chain’s financial struggles.

However, after more than 25 years, it appears that TGI Fridays could finally be leaving the city, with the ground-floor unit put on the market to rent for £200,000 per year.
