HUNDREDS AT FUNERAL OF FAN WHO WAS 'LOVED BY EVERYONE'

- By LOUIS CORBETT

Sadness at cancer death of Kim - Notts County's most devoted supporter

"LARGER than life, loved by everyone and willing to put everyone and everything before herself" - these were the words of Tony Walster, recounting his memories of his beloved daughter, Kim, who died from cancer in early September.

Kim Walster, 35, originally from Arnold, was a staunch Notts County fan and cared for little else.

“She ate, slept and breathed Notts County, it was what she lived for,’ continued Tony. “She didn’t think anyone would turn up to the funeral, but in fact there were well over 400 people there. We had to turn people away and send them to the Trent Nav to watch the service.”

Kim was first diagnosed with womb cancer more than two years ago and, after going into remission, she thought it was over, but after six months and a routine check, the cancer was back, and it had spread throughout her body.
