Police in CCTV appeal as cab driver is attacked by a pedestrian

A TAXI driver was assaulted and had his vehicle smashed during an incident in the city centre.

The driver, who is in his 50s, was waiting at a red light leading on to Lower Parliament Street opposite the arena, but when the light changed a man walked in front of the taxi.

When challenged, the thug punched the front windscreen of the taxi, causing the left side to shatter.
