Closure order for 'crime magnet' flats

POLICE have shut down two St Ann's flats that had become a “magnet” for crimes including drug dealing.

The closure orders affect two flats at Wainwright House, a housing complex for over-55s with vulnerabilities.
Police say antisocial behaviour and drug using were among the problems and, after numerous complaints, closure orders were granted for Flats 5 and 12 at Mansfield Magistrates' Court on July 10. They will last for three months.
