Cops commended for peaceful Christmas celebration
Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr., acting chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), assured the public that police will remain on heightened police visibility and public safety operations throughout the remaining holiday season, especially during the New Year revelry.
He gave the assurance after commending all police commanders and personnel for what he described as peaceful celebration of Christmas around the country.
“Our goal is to ensure a peaceful and meaningful celebration of Christmas and New Year for everybody. We are not lowering our guard for any threat and so far, we are on the right track in fulfilling that goal,” said Nartatez.
