NO LOYALTY CHECKS NEEDED

- By MARTIN SADONGDONG

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Tuesday, Jan. 13, rejected claims of cracks within its ranks amid the investigation of a Philippine Army (PA) officer who allegedly withdrew his support from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

AFP spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla said there was no division in the organization, and the military remains united and professional even with its investigation on the case of Colonel Audie Mongao.

"First of all, we continue to assure the public that there is no division within the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Our troops, the entire Armed Forces of the Philippines, are intact. We remain professional and we remain united," she said.
