Remembering those we lost
Manchester Evening News
|March 24, 2025
IT'S hard to believe that it has been five years since the Covid19 pandemic reached the UK.
The world-defining event claimed the lives of more than 230,000 in the UK, the biggest loss of life in our nation's history since the Second World War.
This poignant film is directed by Catey Sexton, who lost her mother in the first wave. Her own story of loss is weaved in with other stories of those who were bereaved by Covid.
Catey says: "It feels like we're in a rush to forget and move on.
