You will be by the time you have read the current affairs from dear old Cheshire East.

Remember the election when they told us what a spiffing job they had done with our finances?

Me thinks it may have been a porky, because once they got themselves elected our finances were suddenly in tatters.

How they managed this about-turn in such a short time was truly remarkable.

No one, not even Donald Trump, could have made that happen. Suddenly, CEC were on the verge of bankruptcy and screaming for salvation so...they brought in a new Chief Executive at the sort of money few of us will ever see.

He hired another chief exec.

So... they trotted off to West Minster asking for more money to keep CEC afloat.

Surprisingly, for a Labour government, they did not get what they wanted and must now make a case for every pound they spend above the agreed limit.
