We transformed mouldy house-and added nearly £200,000 to its value

And it's gone up an impressive £191,500 in value.

Husband and wife Jonathan and Katie O'Neill bought a run-down threebed terrace house in Timperley, Trafford, for £218,500 after it had sat on the market for more than six months, attracting no interest.

The couple took the house back to brick and carried out an extensive renovation, transforming every single room and adding an extension.

Almost 18 months later, they are now living in their beautiful family home with their baby boy Archie.

Katie, 28, from Cheadle Hulme, said: "It was just wasn't selling. We decided to view it and when we walked in I could just see the potential. But at this point it was just horrendous.

"You actually couldn't even see the house from the road because it was so overgrown, and because it had been vacant for so long, it was just getting mouldier." She added: "The estate agent who showed us it actually said they're desperate to get rid of it, so I would just throw an offer in, which normally they don't do because they want as much commission as possible.
