Devastated husband's tribute to wife killed by death-smash driver
THE grieving husband of a former nurse killed by a 'furious' driver says his future plans have been 'cruelly ripped away.
Mohammed Irshad, 36, drove a Mercedes-Benz at around twice the speed limit on St Helens Road in Bolton before smashing into a Nissan as he tried to overtake a car.
Inside the Nissan were Karen Kimblin, a mother-of-four who had seven grandchildren at the time, and her husband, Kenneth.
Mrs Kimblin, 63, tragically died from her injuries following the crash - while Mr Kimblin, who was driving the Nissan, also suffered.
Irshad has now been jailed for 14 years after being convicted of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving.
