People urged to put views forward on future of city's arts

Council launches consultation over Manchester's cultural scene

MANCHESTER city council is asking the people of Manchester to get involved in a new discussion about the future of the city's arts and culture.

The new initiative is looking for locals to give their feedback and ideas on what Manchester's cultural scene from music festivals to museum exhibitions should feature over the next 10 years.

The launch of the new public consultation, 'It all starts with a spark, will reach out to residents as well as creative, arts and cultural organisations to help create a new cultural plan.

This covers performances and festivals, cultural events and art galleries, to arts and craft lessons.
