UK & E Rock icons turn up the heat in second Anfield show

- By CHRISTOPHER MEGRATH

FOO FIGHTERS NIGHT

THE earth-shattering vibrations felt across the city this week came from the musical force that is Foo Fighters, whose second show at Anfield thrilled fans last night - and lead singer Dave Grohl has promised the city he’s ‘got a plan’ to come back.

The legendary American rock band drew thousands of headbangers, alternative kids and moshers to the stadium, and the band clearly loved Liverpool just as much as the fans loved them.

Before kicking off proceedings last night, frontman Grohl posed a series of questions to the city. True to his rock star image, the 57-year-old asked: “Are you ready? Are you f***ing ready? Do you want to dance? Come on!”
