TRANMERE boss Andy Crosby says his side must build momentum off the back of Saturday's 4-1 away win over Bristol Rovers.

Victory for The Whites ended a seven-game winless run in League Two, and the 52-year-old hopes today’s home clash with Chesterfield can be the start of a positive run of form.

He said: “The players are determined to build on last week.

“We said a lot of words in the buildup to the game, but the actions came out on the pitch, and we have to do the same again tomorrow.

“All the credit goes to the players, they went about their jobs really well.

“We came away a little bit disappointed that we didn’t score more goals and couldn't keep the clean sheet.

“But it was a big turnaround and the message this week has been about building momentum from that and the only way to do that is by putting back-to-back results together”
