Security guard ambushed in cash box grab

GANG SNATCHED MONEY OUTSIDE TESCO STORE
A MAN has been arrested after a gang grabbed a cash box from a Loomis transportation security guard.
Merseyside Police confirmed officers first received a report of two men approaching the security guard outside the Tesco Superstore on Overton Street, close to Wavertree Road, at around 9.10am yesterday.
The force said the men grabbed the cash box before getting into a silver car, driven by a third man, which was later found abandoned nearby.
A 40-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and is currently in police custody, where he will be questioned.
