The plummet is sharpest among Canadians, whose numbers range at least 20% lower versus 2024. Since Canadians spend the most, that drop alone equates to billions in lost revenues.

American tourism pays a hefty price for political rancour that so far includes annexation and invasion threats toward Canada, Greenland and Venezuela, woefully shambolic rollercoaster tariff and trade drama, plus mass deportation drives where tourists and US citizens alike were detained by ICE agents.
