JLR 'very sorry' as production pause goes on to next week

BUSINESS UNDERTAKING A FORENSIC INVESTIGATION INTO MAJOR CYBER ATTACK

JAGUAR Land Rover's (JLR) production pause will continue into next week as it recovers from a cyber attack.

The ECHO broke the news of the cyber attack at JLR at the start of this month, with all production shut down across the firm's international sites ever since.

The ECHO further revealed last week that staff at the Halewood plant and other sites across the UK had been stood down until today, Wednesday.

It has now been announced the pause in production has been extended until Wednesday, September 24.

A spokesperson for the company said on its website: "Today we have informed colleagues, suppliers and partners that we have extended the current pause in our production until Wednesday 24th September.
